Ingredients
- Chicken Breasts (2 medium-sized, boneless and skinless)
- Pasta (2 cups, preferably rotini or penne)
- Caesar Dressing (1 cup, store-bought or homemade)
- Romaine Lettuce (2 cups, chopped)
- Parmesan Cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
- Croutons (1/2 cup, for added crunch)
- Olive Oil (2 tablespoons, for cooking the chicken)
- Garlic Powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- Lemon Juice (1 tablespoon, for extra flavor)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta π
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Once done, drain the pasta and set it aside to cool. You can run it under cold water to speed up the cooling process.
Step 2: Cook the Chicken π
While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into bite-sized pieces.
Step 3: Prepare the Salad Base π₯
Chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it into a large mixing bowl. Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken on top of the lettuce.
Step 4: Add the Dressing π₯
Pour Caesar dressing over the pasta, chicken, and lettuce mixture. Toss gently until everything is coated evenly. You can adjust the amount of dressing based on your preference.
Step 5: Add Croutons and Parmesan π§
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and croutons on top for a crunchy, cheesy finish. Give the salad one last gentle toss, and itβs ready to serve!
