Instructions
Step 1: Gather All Ingredients
Start by gathering all your ingredients. Itβs easier to make your dressing when you have everything ready to go. Measure out the mayonnaise, sour cream, chipotle peppers, and other spices.
Step 2: Blend the Chipotle Peppers
In a blender or food processor, combine the chipotle peppers in adobo sauce with a small amount of vinegar. Pulse until you get a smooth paste. This will add that smoky heat we love in Chipotle Ranch.
Step 3: Mix the Base
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise and sour cream. Stir until smooth and well incorporated. The mayonnaise provides the creamy texture, while the sour cream adds a slight tang.
Step 4: Add the Chipotle Paste
Add the chipotle pepper paste to the mayo-sour cream mixture. Stir well, making sure the paste is evenly distributed for that perfect balance of spice and creaminess.
Step 5: Add the Seasonings
Next, add the garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, lime juice, and vinegar. Mix everything together. Taste and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. If the dressing is too thick, add a little buttermilk to reach your desired consistency.
Step 6: Chill and Serve
Once everything is well combined, cover the dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Chilling helps the flavors to meld together and intensify. Serve chilled with your favorite salads, veggies, or as a dip for snacks!
