  • 1 egg yolk (save the white for egg wash)

For the Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • 12 tablespoons milk

  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Step 2: Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk. Use a hand mixer or whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Unroll the Crescent Rolls
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Arrange the triangles on the prepared baking sheet in a star shape, with the pointed ends facing outward and the wide ends overlapping in the center.

Step 4: Add the Filling
Spoon the cream cheese mixture onto the wide ends of the dough in the center. Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling, pressing gently to seal.

Step 5: Bake
Brush the dough with the reserved egg white for a golden finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the filling is set.

Step 6: Make the Glaze
While the Danish is baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if needed.

Once the Danish is out of the oven, let it cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle the glaze over the top and serve warm.
