  • Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pasta:

  • 12 oz (about 3 cups) bowtie pasta (farfalle)

  • 4 cups water

  • 1 tsp salt (for boiling pasta)

For the Creamy Ground Beef Sauce:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, if beef is lean)

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, drained

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  2. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to the package instructions (usually about 10-12 minutes).

  3. Drain the pasta and set it aside.

Step 2: Cook the Ground Beef

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon (about 5-7 minutes).

  3. If necessary, drain excess fat from the pan.

Step 3: Sauté the Aromatics

  1. Add chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef.

  2. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant and softened.

  3. Stir in salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.

Step 4: Make the Creamy Sauce

  1. Pour in the beef broth and let it simmer for 2 minutes.

  2. Add the diced tomatoes and mix well.

  3. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese.

  4. Let everything cook together until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce becomes creamy (about 5 minutes).

Step 5: Combine Everything

  1. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the creamy sauce.

  2. Let it simmer for 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  3. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve hot.
