Easy Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake Recipe

  • Author: Jasmine
  • Total Time: 55-60 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

For the cake:

  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For the topping:

  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers (optional for cheesecake effect)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and sugar. Use a hand mixer or whisk to blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Add the sliced strawberries to the cream cheese mixture and gently fold them in.

Step 4: Pour the cake mix over the cream cheese and strawberry mixture, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Step 5: Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the cake mix. This will help create a golden crust on top.

Step 6: (Optional) In a small bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers, sugar, and melted butter, and sprinkle this mixture over the top for an added cheesecake crunch.

Step 7: Bake the cake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cake is set. You can check by inserting a toothpick – it should come out clean.
