- 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions
Step 1: Activate the Yeast
- In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
Step 2: Prepare the Dough
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
- Add the yeast mixture, sweetened condensed milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix everything using a wooden spoon or a stand mixer with a dough hook.
- Once the dough comes together, add the softened butter and knead until fully incorporated.
Step 3: Kneading the Dough
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10-12 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- If using a stand mixer, knead on medium speed for about 7-8 minutes.
Step 4: First Proofing (Let the Dough Rise)
- Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel.
- Let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours or until it doubles in size.
Step 5: Shaping the Bread
- Punch down the dough to release air bubbles.
- Divide it into equal portions if making rolls, or shape it into a loaf.
- Place the dough in a greased baking pan and cover it again.
Step 6: Second Proofing
- Let it rise for another 30-45 minutes until it puffs up.
Step 7: Baking the Bread
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brush the top of the dough with the egg wash.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
Step 8: Finishing Touches
- Remove from the oven and immediately brush with melted butter for a soft and shiny crust.
