Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, olive oil, smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.

Step 2: Marinate the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish or resealable bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor).

Step 3: Preheat the Oven or Skillet
If baking, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). If using a skillet, heat it over medium-high heat on the stovetop.

Step 4: Cook the Chicken

  • Oven Method: Transfer the marinated chicken to a baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  • Skillet Method: Sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side, then reduce the heat and cook until done.
