Ingredients
-
1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter version)
-
1 cup whole milk (or almond milk, oat milk for dairy-free)
-
3–4 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk (adjust to taste)
-
2 teaspoons vanilla extract (use pure vanilla for the best flavor)
-
1 vanilla bean (optional, for an extra aromatic touch)
-
1–2 tablespoons granulated sugar (optional, for added sweetness)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Vanilla Bean (Optional)
If using a vanilla bean, split it lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. These seeds will infuse the creamer with a rich, authentic vanilla flavor.
Step 2: Heat the Dairy Base
In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and sweetened condensed milk. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is warm but not boiling.
Step 3: Add Vanilla Flavor
Add the vanilla extract and vanilla bean seeds (if using) to the warm mixture. Stir well to combine. For a stronger vanilla flavor, let the mixture steep for 5-10 minutes off the heat.
Step 4: Sweeten to Taste
If you prefer a sweeter creamer, add granulated sugar and whisk until fully dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
Step 5: Strain and Store
If you want a smoother creamer, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any vanilla bean remnants. Pour the creamer into an airtight container or bottle and refrigerate.
