Ingredients
(Makes 24 truffles)
Ingredients:
-
1 ½ cups white chocolate chips (or chopped bar)
-
½ cup heavy cream (or full-fat coconut cream for dairy-free)
-
2 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
-
1 ½ tsp orange zest (freshly grated)
-
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
-
¼ tsp orange extract (optional, for extra flavor)
-
Pinch of salt
For Coating:
-
1 cup white or orange candy melts
-
Extra orange zest (for garnish)
Instructions
Warm the heavy cream in a saucepan over low heat until steaming (do not boil).
Pour hot cream over white chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
Mix in butter, orange zest, vanilla, orange extract, and salt until fully combined.
Refrigerate for 2 hours (or freeze 30 mins) until firm enough to scoop.
Use a small cookie scoop to portion mixture, then roll into 1-inch balls. Place on a parchment-lined tray.
Melt candy melts, dip each truffle, and place back on the tray. Sprinkle with orange zest before the coating sets.
Chill 15 minutes until firm. Enjoy cold or at room temp!
