Succulent Lobster Tail Recipe

  • Author: Jasmine
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 lobster tails (56 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Your Oven

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) if baking or broiling. For grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high.

Step 2: Prepare the Lobster Tails

Using kitchen scissors, cut the top shell of the lobster tail lengthwise down the center to the base. Loosen the meat from the shell, gently lift it, and place it on top of the shell for a beautiful presentation. Be careful not to detach the meat from the tail.

Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Step 4: Brush and Season

Brush the lobster meat generously with the garlic butter mixture. Reserve a portion for basting during cooking.

Step 5: Cook to Perfection

  • Bake: Place the prepared lobster tails on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  • Broil: Broil 5-6 inches from the heat source for 8-10 minutes.
  • Grill: Grill shell-side down for about 5-7 minutes with the lid closed.

Baste with the reserved butter halfway through cooking. Lobster is done when the flesh is opaque and firm, and the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).
